Nebula awards

Τα Nebula awards δίνονται κάθε χρόνο απο την Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. ένα μη κερδοσκοπικό οργανισμό που ιδρύθηκε το 1965 από τον Damon Knight.

Μέλη του Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc είναι συγγραφείς science fiction & fantasy κυρίως από τις ΗΠΑ. Μέλη μπορούν να γίνουν μόνο επαγγελματίες του χώρου που έχουν δημοσιεύσει τουλάχιστον μια νουβέλα ή τρεις μικρές ιστορίες και το 2001 είχε 1200 ενεργά μέλη.

Δεν αποτελεί χρηματικό βραβείο, το βραβείο το ίδιο είναι απλά ένα γυάλινο κομμάτι με ένα γυαλιστερό νεφέλωμα (=nebula) στην μέση, απλά αποτελεί μια ηθική επιβράβευση από άλλους συγγραφείς Ε.Φ. Σε αντίθεση με το βραβείο Hugo οι υποψηφιότητες και τα βραβεία αφορούν έργα των 2 τελευταίων ετών!
